RVAGOV Staff: Sincere Apologies and Summer Inactivity
Spring Greetings from RVAGOV!
We are reaching out with our sincerest apologies about the lack of RVAGOV recaps in the month of April. We are currently in the process of training new correspondents, as two of our previous correspondents went abroad to study over the Spring semester. As many of you may have know, RVAGOV.com is managed by students from the University of Richmond, so these changes do frequently occur. Due to training issues and other time conflicts, our team either could not get to meetings or could not get the recaps posted in a timely manner. There was also Spring Break in the middle of the semester, which further complicated things. We hope you understand this and forgive us for our flaws. Though we strive for perfection, we are not always perfect.
In addition to the above apology, this note is to update readers on the approach of summer break for UR students. The semester ends for students at the end of next week, at which time our team will not be in Richmond and will not be recapping meetings. Thus, the site will be inactive from May through the end of August.
RVAGOV staff will be returning for the Fall semester on in August. We will resume posting our City Council and School Board recaps in September.
Again, we sincerely apologize for any confusion this period of inactivity may have caused you all as readers. We appreciate all of you for following us and we love playing a role in keeping the citizens of Richmond informed about local government.
Thank you for all of your continued support and we will be writing to you once more in the Fall!
The RVAGOV Team
